Embroidery Design Guidelines

To ensure your custom embroidery looks clean, crisp, and professional, please follow these guidelines when submitting your design.

Satin Stitch Lettering

• Minimum letter height: 3/16 inch

• Applies to all letters, including upper and lowercase.

• Smaller letters may lose clarity and stitch poorly.

Satin Letters with Borders

• Minimum letter height: 3/8 inch

• Minimum border thickness: 1/16 inch

• Borders thinner than 1/16 inch will not stitch clearly.

3D Puff Letters

• Minimum letter height: 7/16 inch

• Column width: 3/16 inch minimum, 1/2 inch maximum (wider columns flatten the foam)

• Letter spacing: approximately 1/8 inch between letters

• Font recommendation: Bold or script fonts; avoid serif fonts

Shadowed Lettering

• Minimum top-layer letter height: 1/4 inch

• Minimum shadow thickness: 1/16 inch

• Thicker shadows improve clarity and registration

Design Size & Lettering Limits

• The number of lines and letters depends on the overall design size.

• For small areas (like hat fronts), consider font size carefully to ensure readability.

Walk Stitch Letters – Not Allowed

• Walk stitch letters are not allowed.

• Any letters, words, or dates smaller than 3/16 inch cannot be stitched legibly and need to be removed.

• All text must meet minimum size requirements to ensure a clean, professional result.
